Behind the Wild Thoughts


Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Randeen Richmond Thomas was inspired at a young age to pursue bartending. He started out at Cafe Eurasia in Marketplace and further honed his craft at various other bars and cafes. In 2016 he joined the J. Wray and Nephew Ltd. family as brand ambassador and now works at the Joy Spence Appleton Estate Rum Experience. Randeen, known as "The Big Belly Bartender," has participated in numerous competitions, most recently placing in Taste of Jamaica 2018 across multiple categories.

Throughout her career, Jordie Ho-Shue has been involved in the operation of multiple restaurant and bar concepts in the Bay Area, primarily concentrating on her development within well-established craft beverage programs. Possessing a strong passion for cocktail culture and education, she has intimately studied and worked with a variety of artisanal spirits, but the rums of the Caribbean will always hold the key to Jordie's heart.

Behind the Reggae Rum Punch


Ian Burrell—the world’s only recognized Global Ambassador for the rum category—has a passion for rum and cocktails that's infectious. He's conducted masterclasses and seminars, sipped cocktails, and judged competitions on all seven continents. In 2007 he created the world’s first international rum festival (The UK RumFest) and inspired the birth of rum festivals around the world, and in 2014 he broke the Guinness World Record for largest organized rum tasting event. Ian is a seven-time Spirited Awards final four nominee and the 2018 Spirited Awards International Brand Ambassador of the Year.
