Cari Hah—bar manager at Alcove's Big Bar in Los Feliz—has been a bartender, consultant, and brand representative for many years and has worked her craft at many Los Angeles–area bars. She's known as a cheerleader for the LA bartending community and as a "Tiger Mom" of LA. Cari is a Kit Kat and Hello Kitty fanatic.

Behind the East End Sour

Currently a bar and restaurant consultant with Subversive Cocktails, Spencer Warren recently opened Pittsburgh's Monroe's Neighborhood Cocktail Bar and The Penn Cove Eatery and has brought back the much-anticipated Miracle Holiday Pop-Up Bar & PopUp Embury. After beginning his career with the 2004 opening of Firehouse Lounge, he then opened Embury, Pittsburgh’s first craft cocktail bar, recognized for developing the city’s cocktail culture and recipient of numerous awards, including the prestigious NCB Award Small Wonder Bar of the Year (2011). He was the beverage director at Butcher and the Rye (James Beard–nominated cocktail program), täkō, and Meat & Potatoes.

Behind the Sugar and Spice

Brenda Terry is an award-winning cocktail artist known for her imagination and passion behind the bar. Originally introduced to the craft scene while living in New York City, Brenda has honed her skill set for the past few years in Tampa, FL, where she currently resides. From fashioning classic tipples to conceiving original recipes, she’s created one-of-a-kind libations for various US and international bars, restaurants, and brands. Brenda also enjoys the challenge of competing in cocktail competitions and has earned titles on regional, national, and international levels. For more information, please visit her website.
